Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) – an 8-week course starting Wednesday 15 May at The Retreat, 6 – 8.30pm with Alithea Waterfield, MBCT Teacher.
Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) is a proven, effective and compassionate way of learning how to tap into your inner resources.
In this 8-week course, you will be guided by Alithea through mindfulness techniques like meditation, gentle movement and breathing exercises, along with elements from cognitive behaviour therapy.
These exercises have been carefully developed to enable you to break the cycle of limiting thought patterns and find a clear, calm place from which to make more skilful and creative choices.
It is particularly helpful for the treatment of low mood, stress, anxiety and depression.
MBCT is the only mindfulness course recommended by the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence.
